Day Wise Itinerary

Arrive at Bagdogra Airport and begin your journey into the heart of the Eastern Himalayas. Your drive to Gangtok, the capital of Sikkim (approx. 4.5 hours), offers stunning views of the Teesta River and forested valleys. Check into your hotel and relax. In the evening, head to MG Marg, a lively pedestrian street filled with cafes, handicraft shops, and mountain air that sets the tone for your highland adventure.
After breakfast, prepare for a soul-stirring day as you ascend to Tsomgo Lake, perched at an altitude of 12,310 ft. Surrounded by rugged mountains, this glacial lake changes colors with the seasons and is sacred to the locals. Next, visit the legendary Baba Harbhajan Singh Mandir, dedicated to a revered army soldier. Optional: You can include a visit to Nathula Pass (subject to permit and weather conditions). Return to Gangtok by evening and unwind.
Leave Gangtok after an early breakfast and embark on a breathtaking journey to Lachung (approx. 6 hours), a quaint mountain village in North Sikkim. En route, witness cascading waterfalls like Seven Sisters Falls and Naga Waterfall, and enjoy a lunch break at a local spot. Reach Lachung by late afternoon, surrounded by snow-capped peaks and dense forests. Check-in and relax in this serene Himalayan haven.
Early morning, head to the ethereal Yumthang Valley, also known as the Valley of Flowers (approx. 11,800 ft), where rhododendrons bloom across a surreal alpine landscape. Soak in the views and optionally visit Zero Point (extra cost), where the road ends and the snow begins. Return to Lachung for lunch, and then drive back to Gangtok by evening. It’s a long but visually stunning day full of postcard moments.
After breakfast, check out and journey to Pelling (approx. 4.5 hours). Upon arrival, start exploring immediately with the 1st half sightseeing: visit Rimbi Waterfall, the tranquil Khecheopalri Lake (a sacred wish-fulfilling lake), and the powerful Kanchenjunga Waterfalls. Later, visit the Pemayangtse Monastery, and walk across the exhilarating Sang-Ngag Choling Sky Walk, India’s first glass skywalk with a spectacular view of the Chenrezig statue. Overnight in Pelling.
After a relaxed breakfast, start your drive toward the picturesque hill town of Darjeeling (approx. 4.5 hours). As you cross over into West Bengal, enjoy views of river valleys, tea gardens, and old-world hamlets. Check in to your hotel upon arrival and spend your evening exploring Chowrasta Mall, sampling some of the finest Darjeeling teas and basking in the colonial charm.
Start early with a visit to Tiger Hill to catch the mesmerizing sunrise over Mt. Kanchenjunga. On the way back, stop at the beautiful Batasia Loop and ancient Ghoom Monastery. After breakfast, continue exploring with visits to Padmaja Naidu Himalayan Zoological Park, Himalayan Mountaineering Institute, and Tenzing Rock. In the afternoon, delve into culture and craftsmanship at the Tibetan Refugee Self Help Center, where Tibetan artisans create traditional carpets, woodwork, and woolen garments. Optional: End your day with a joy ride on the UNESCO-listed Darjeeling Himalayan Railway Toy Train.
After breakfast, it’s time to pack up your memories and head back to NJP Railway Station or Bagdogra Airport for your journey home. The mountains may be behind you, but their magic will linger in your heart forever.
