Your Meghalaya adventure kicks off as we proceed to Shillong, the charming capital of Meghalaya, often called the "Scotland of the East." En route, we soak in the scenic beauty of Umiam Lake, a vast reservoir surrounded by lush hills—a perfect welcome to the Northeast. On arrival in Shillong, we check into our hotel and unwind. In the evening, all guests gather for a warm Meet & Greet session, setting the tone for the wonderful days ahead. Enjoy evening tea or coffee, relax, and prepare for a memorable journey.

Today we explore the soul of Shillong through its iconic landmarks and cultural treasures. Our first stop is the Cathedral of Mary Help of Christians (subject to operation), followed by a peaceful stroll around the charming Ward’s Lake. We then visit Lady Hydari Park, a blend of manicured gardens and a mini zoo. The highlight of the day is the Don Bosco Museum, offering a deep dive into the indigenous culture and tribes of the Northeast. Later, we head to the serene Elephant Falls, a cascading beauty nestled among the woods. The evening is yours to enjoy—explore Police Bazar, indulge in some local street shopping, or relax at Shillong’s famous cafés and pubs.

Get ready for a full-day excursion to Cherrapunjee (Sohra), one of the wettest places on earth. Our scenic drive takes us through misty landscapes and emerald valleys. We begin with an exploration of the mysterious Mawsmai Caves, followed by the awe-inspiring Seven Sisters Falls and the majestic Nohkalikai Falls—India’s tallest plunge waterfall. We also visit the serene Ram Krishna Mission, a cultural and spiritual retreat. After a day of rain-kissed wonders and panoramic beauty, we return to Shillong for a relaxing evening at the hotel.

Today is all about exploring Meghalaya’s pristine gems. We head to Dawki, where the crystal-clear Umngot River offers a surreal boating experience—you can literally see the riverbed! At the Indo-Bangladesh border at Tamabil, enjoy a unique view of two countries meeting peacefully. Next, we arrive at Mawlynnong, awarded the title of Asia’s Cleanest Village. Here, we see the fascinating Balancing Rock, trek to the incredible Living Root Bridge, and wander through quaint lanes lined with beautiful gardens and eco-friendly thatched huts. It’s a day of immersive nature, local life, and tranquility. We return to Shillong in the evening, hearts full and cameras loaded with memories.

Today, we say goodbye to the misty hills and serene valleys of Shillong as we proceed to Guwahati for our departure. While our journey comes to an end, the memories of Meghalaya’s beauty and the connections we’ve made will stay with us forever.
