Day Wise Itinerary

Welcome to Cochin (Kochi), Kerala’s vibrant coastal city where old-world charm meets colonial history. If you arrive by morning, check in to your hotel and relax before setting out around 3 PM for a delightful city tour. Visit the Dutch Palace, known for its rich murals and royal legacy, followed by the historic Jewish Synagogue in the heart of Jew Town. Then head to the Chinese Fishing Nets, a symbol of Cochin’s ancient maritime links with China. Stop by the St. Francis Church, where Vasco da Gama was once buried, and wrap up your day with a peaceful walk along Marine Drive, watching the sunset over the Arabian Sea. Return to your hotel for a restful night in this coastal gem. Overnight stay in Cochin
After breakfast, it’s time to leave the coast behind and head for the hills. Begin your scenic 150 km (approx. 4-hour drive) to Munnar, a hill station draped in emerald-green tea gardens and mist-covered valleys. As the road winds upward, you’ll pass waterfalls, spice plantations, and cool mountain breezes. Upon arrival, check into your hotel or resort and take the rest of the day at leisure—relax with a cup of fresh tea, take a short walk through the plantations, or simply unwind with views of the rolling hills. Let the peace of Munnar prepare you for the natural wonders ahead. Overnight stay in Munnar
Start your day with a delicious breakfast and head out for a full day of sightseeing in Munnar’s breathtaking surroundings. Visit the Mattupatty Dam, where still waters reflect the surrounding mountains, and Echo Point, where nature echoes your voice across the hills. Continue to Rajamalai (Eravikulam National Park), home to the endangered Nilgiri Tahr and panoramic views of the Western Ghats. Don’t miss a walk through the tea plantations, where you can visit a tea factory to see how your favorite brew is made. Inhale the fresh mountain air, sip some locally grown tea, and return to your hotel with your soul refreshed. Overnight stay in Munnar
Post breakfast, check out and drive toward Thekkady (Periyar), about 125 km / 4 hours away, passing through scenic highlands and spice-scented air. On arrival, check into your jungle resort or hotel and relax for a bit. By 3 PM, head out for a thrilling boat safari (own cost) on Periyar Lake, where you might spot elephants, bison, wild boars, and exotic birds in their natural habitat. In the evening, explore Thekkady’s spice markets, where you can shop for authentic cardamom, cinnamon, and pepper. Return to your hotel after a wild yet wonderful day. Overnight stay in Thekkady
After an early breakfast, it’s time to check out and head to the watery wonderland of Alleppey or Kumarakom—the soul of Kerala’s backwaters. This 160 km drive (approx. 4 hours) descends into a world of palm-lined canals, gliding houseboats, and peaceful village life. Upon arrival, check into your hotel or lakeside resort and relax. In the evening, choose to enjoy a traditional backwater ride (own cost) through the narrow canals and shimmering lagoons. As you float past lush paddy fields, quaint homes, and fishermen casting their nets, you’ll discover the true rhythm of Kerala’s countryside. Return to your stay for a serene night by the water. Overnight stay in Alleppey/Kumarakom
Enjoy a final breakfast beside the backwaters before you check out and begin your return journey to Cochin (approx. 100 km / 2–3 hours). As you drive through coconut groves and sleepy villages, reflect on the unforgettable sights, sounds, and flavors of your Kerala adventure. Whether it was the misty hills of Munnar, the call of the wild in Thekkady, or the calm waters of Alleppey, this journey leaves you with memories to cherish long after you’ve left God’s Own Country.
