Day Wise Itinerary

Your incredible Himalayan getaway begins with your arrival at Bagdogra Airport (IXB) or New Jalpaiguri Railway Station (NJP). From here, enjoy a scenic 4–5 hour drive to Gangtok, Sikkim’s charming capital. As you wind through picturesque valleys and drive alongside the flowing Teesta River, feel the crisp mountain air welcome you. Upon arrival, check into your hotel and take the evening to relax or stroll along MG Marg – a buzzing promenade full of shops, cafes, and local delights. Let the serene mountain vibe ease you into your adventure.
Today takes you to the pristine heights of East Sikkim after an early breakfast. Begin with a visit to the awe-inspiring Tsomgo Lake, a glacial lake perched at 12,313 ft, often surrounded by snow and prayer flags fluttering in the wind. This surreal lake changes color with the seasons and offers a postcard-perfect view. Next, head to the Baba Harbhajan Singh Mandir, a sacred shrine dedicated to a soldier believed to still guard the region. Optional: If open and permits are available, a visit to Nathula Pass (Indo-China border) can be arranged. Return to Gangtok by evening for dinner and a cozy overnight stay.
Take it slow today and immerse yourself in Gangtok’s charm at your own rhythm. After a relaxed breakfast, explore nearby attractions such as the Enchey Monastery, Flower Exhibition Centre, Banjhakri Falls, or the peaceful Ganesh Tok Viewpoint. You may also choose to visit the Namgyal Institute of Tibetology to dive into Sikkim’s cultural and spiritual heritage. Spend the afternoon shopping for handicrafts and sipping local tea at MG Marg. It’s the perfect day to unwind and absorb the rhythm of the hills. Overnight stay in Gangtok
Today, after breakfast and check-out, set off for the iconic hill town of Darjeeling – a journey of approximately 4–5 hours. As you descend from Gangtok’s heights, enjoy lush landscapes, quaint villages, and rolling tea estates that begin to appear. On arrival in Darjeeling, check into your hotel and relax. Later, take a calm evening walk along Chowrasta Mall Road, indulge in a cup of authentic Darjeeling tea, or catch the view from the Observatory Hill. Rest well tonight in the embrace of the misty mountains.
Rise early for one of the most magical experiences of your trip – watching the sunrise from Tiger Hill as golden rays kiss the snowy peaks of Kanchenjunga. On your return, stop at the historic Batasia Loop and serene Ghoom Monastery. After breakfast, continue exploring with visits to the Himalayan Mountaineering Institute, the Padmaja Naidu Himalayan Zoological Park, and the iconic Tenzing Rock. A tour of a local tea garden offers insights into the world-famous Darjeeling tea. Optionally, enjoy a ride on the Darjeeling Ropeway for sweeping views of valleys and plantations. Return to your hotel for a peaceful final night in the hills.
